Scottish Union of Supported Employment Shortlisted for SCVO Award

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Lenzie-based charity, Scottish Union of Supported Employment (SUSE), on its nomination for the Digital Citizen Award at the SCVO Scottish Charity Awards; commends what it sees as the organisation’s valuable work in supporting employers to develop more inclusive, cost-effective recruitment practices and to take steps to ensure that job seekers have the confidence to overcome perceived barriers to fruitful employment; celebrates the SUSE mission statement "to increase the availability, quality and impact of supported employment services in Scotland"; wishes CEO David Cameron, the enthusiastic staff team and the committed board continued fulfilment and success in enabling the vision statement of "a Scotland where people with disadvantages have access to supported employment to find and retain paid work"; celebrates the achievements of all 32 finalists in the 2023 Scottish Charity Awards; applauds the preparation and hard work involved by the team at SCVO in organising and hosting the Scottish Charity Awards annually, and thanks the Scottish Union of Supported Employment, and all nominated voluntary organisations and individuals, for what it sees as their tenacity and positive impact in communities across Scotland.
