Protecting Fin Whales in the Atlantic

The motion

That the Parliament notes the importance of whales as part of ocean biodiversity; recognises the endangered status of fin whales in the North Atlantic; understands that a ship once used for fishing in Scotland will now be used to reduce illegal fin whale hunting in the North Atlantic; commends the crew of the John Paul Dejoria ship to protect this endangered species; commits to protecting whales in the world's seas, and supports international efforts to end illegal whaling.
