School Leavers Toolkit

That the Parliament recognises My World of Work’s innovative School Leavers Toolkit online resource, which aims to make leaving school less daunting; notes that the resource is run by Skills Development Scotland’s My World of Work team; considers that this free, in-depth website is set to play a crucial role this summer as pupils complete their exams and think about their next step in life; understands that the resource is provided in partnership with organisations such as the Scottish Association for Mental Health, Young Scot and others, and recognises that the School Leavers Toolkit offers advice, support and extra information on Scottish apprenticeships, money management, training courses, job interview preparation, how to move out from your parents’ house and find somewhere to rent, a wellbeing assessment tool, 10-minute physical workout plans, mental health support, volunteering, and options for obtaining financial support, among other useful information targeted at school leavers.
