Dominic Murphy's Epic Swimming Challenge

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Dominic Murphy of Wishaw on his outstanding fundraising amount of almost £1,500 for Scottish Catholic International Aid Fund (SCIAF); understands that Dominic, aged nine, swam 240 lengths, 3.8 miles in total, over the six weeks of lent; further understands that going on holiday did not stop Dominic in his quest, where he would swim in the pool just after dawn; commends SCIAF’s work in supporting, it understands, 2.2 million people across the globe, including in Malawi, where SCIAF is working through local partners to help families adapt to climate change and provide the essential knowledge, skills and resources they need to survive, and wishes Dominic all the best with his future fundraising activities.
