Orkney Here2Care Service Receives Excellent Report

The motion

That the Parliament commends the Here2Care housing support service, run by Age Scotland Orkney, which was recently described as "excellent’ in a Care Inspectorate report; notes that Here2Care provides person-centred care for adults living in their own home; applauds Here2Care for the "compassion, dignity and respect" witnessed during the inspection; notes that the inspection report highlighted the "excellent health outcomes" of those using the service; pays tribute to Here2Care staff, who, it understands, demonstrated their "knowledge, expertise and empathy"; understands that the report was compiled after an unannounced inspection in February 2022; further understands that professionals who were interviewed by inspectors praised Here2Care, with one reportedly observing that they did not think they'd ever heard anything negative about the support provided by the service; congratulates Age Scotland Orkney for its excellent report, and thanks it for its important and valuable work within the local community.
