The motion

That the Parliament commends the work of the Coorie Creative in Stirling, which is a social enterprise that seeks to help survivors of trauma through therapeutic crafting; understands that the organisation runs a variety of projects to support marginalised and hard to reach groups by building community, and teaching skills in weaving, sewing and knitting; congratulates Coorie Creative on its recent success in partnering with the V&A Dundee; welcomes, in particular, its latest project, Nip & Tuck, which supports trans and non-binary people to alter their clothes, creating a safe space to volunteer and learn new skills, as well as connecting people at risk of social isolation; recognises how Coorie Creative's work promotes inclusivity, uses materials that often would have otherwise gone to landfill; encourages a slower more sustainable approach to fashion, and wishes all those involved in Coorie Creative all the best with their future work.
