Kelly Alexander, Newmains Community Champion
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes what it sees as the kindness of the community, and Kelly Alexander, community champion at Asda, Newmains, for providing much-needed essentials to many in the community who, it understands, are currently struggling financially due to increases in the cost of living; understands that Kelly has been supporting local community groups, such as Made 4 U, Abernethyan Early Learning Centre and Newmains Gala Day, and recently completed the Kilt Walk in aid of the Tickled Pink Cancer Charity; further understands that many community groups, local larders and foodbanks have seen a rise in demand for their services over the past few months; thanks all the organisations involved that are providing support to the residents of Murdostoun and the surrounding area, and wishes them all the best for the future.
