Donations to North East Scotland College's Fraserburgh Campus

The motion

That the Parliament recognises the significant generosity of a local business in Fraserburgh, which has increased its financial backing of North East Scotland College to half a million pounds, with the latest in a series of six-figure donations; commends the benefactor for supporting a range of projects at the College’s Fraserburgh Campus, all of which are designed to increase opportunities for young people in the town and surrounding area; notes that previous donations led to the creation of the Future Skills Zone at the campus, with innovative learning areas that showcase technology in areas including robotics and 3D printing, and the creation of a new Future Skills Workshop at Fraserburgh Campus to provide training in energy transition, including hydrogen technology, and thanks North East Scotland College for its work as one of the largest providers of vocational education and training in Scotland, delivering to more than 20,000 full-time, part-time and distance learning students each year.
