Pride of Inverclyde Awards 2023
The motion
That the Parliament applauds all those nominated for the 2023 Pride of Inverclyde Awards, which, it understands, recognise council staff across a range of services, including the health and social care partnership (HSCP), for their work supporting residents, businesses and communities; congratulates the winners of the awards who were presented with trophies and certificates at the Beacon Arts Centre, with this being the first time the awards have been held since the COVID-19 pandemic; understands that members of teams involved in supporting refugees and asylum seekers, tackling period poverty and providing health and safety advice and guidance were among those who received prizes; further understands that long service awards were also presented to seven members of staff who have each worked with the council for more than 45 years, which amounted to more than 315 years of combined service; believes that awards ceremonies like this are important for recognising the efforts of staff who go above and beyond for their local area, and thanks them for their dedication to Inverclyde.
