Spartans FC Promoted to SPFL
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Spartans FC, which is based in the Edinburgh Northern and Leith constituency, on being promoted to the Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL), League 2, for the first time, on 20 May 2023; recognises the particular significance of this achievement to everyone involved with the football club; congratulates, in particular, the first team players, the manager, Douglas Samuel MBE, the coaching team, the chairman, Craig Graham MBE, and other directors, and acknowledges the strong support that the team received during the pyramid play-offs and throughout the season.
