Auchenblae-based Alex and Ernie Russon Write Children's Book on Youth Football

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Auchenblae-based Alex Russon and his son, Ernie, who wrote a children’s book to promote the benefits of sport for young people; notes that the book is a diarised account of Montrose Youth Football Club, for which Ernie plays as right winger, during its first season in the Dundee and District League; understands that the book gives an honest assessment of life in a youth football team, being a younger sibling, going to school, and dealing with parents; notes that the key objective of the book is to encourage youngsters to get into sport and share the benefits that come with taking part in sport; understands that the book, called Top Bins, will raise money for Montrose Youth Football Club, which is affiliated to Montrose Community Trust, and wishes Ernie and his teammates the very best of luck for the remainder of the season.
