Holding Out For A Hero: Juniors Play Cafe
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Juniors Play Café in Hamilton on the success of its recent Holding Out For A Hero charity evening; acknowledges the achievements of all who planned, attended and supported the event; understands that almost £40,000 was raised on the night, which will help fund community activities and events run by the café; further understands that Juniors is a much-loved local organisation in the community and that the charity supports and feeds 300 families each week; believes that, in a cost of living crisis, it is more important than ever that children, young people and their families have somewhere to go where they can play, seek advice, chat to other parents and carers and simply feel less alone; recognises what it sees as the significance of the sum raised, in the face of funding obstacles; commends Lesley Robertson and her team for all their hard work and passion for helping people, and wishes Juniors Play Café all the best for the future.
