"Mind Your Head" Mental Health Music Festival Raises over £3,000
The motion
That the Parliament applauds the fundraising efforts of Kirkcaldy’s Mind Your Head festival; understands that the music festival was organised with the aim of bringing awareness to local mental health services, such as Andy’s Man Club and Wellbeing In Fife, which were both present at the event; further understands that the event raised more than £3,000 through money on the door, workshops and donations from members of the public during and after the event; recognises that the Kingdom FM and Society DJ’s event was organised by Vanessa Motion, who, it understands, hopes to continue to run events throughout the remainder of 2023, whether under the Mind Your Head banner or another; further recognises that the main purpose of the project has been to collate a range of information and contacts for mental health services; thanks Vanessa for the efforts that she and others have put into making the event a success, and wishes her all the best for any future events that she goes on to organise.
