Carrongrange High School Awarded Most Enterprising School at the Festival of Youth Enterprise

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Carrongrange High School on winning Scotland’s Most Enterprising School 2023; notes that Young Enterprise Scotland hosted a two-day festival at Hampden Park on 30-31 May 2023; further notes that the awards ceremony took place on 31 May with guest speakers such as Victoria Lee and Stuart McPherson celebrating the work of the young people; recognises the Sustainable Stylist who gave insight into career paths, and colleagues from SmartStem and DYWLive, who supported the finalists and winners of the awards; understands that the winners of Scotland’s Most Enterprising School and Most Enterprising Educator were presented their awards by project manager, Julie Degnan, in acknowledgement of the hardworking staff members who encourage young people to develop their enterprising skills in all aspects of life; notes that the finalists were Stronsay Junior High, Carrongrange High School, St Bernard’s Primary and St Paul’s Primary, with Carrongrange High School taking home the win and being awarded £500 to further its enterprising journey; congratulates the winner, Carrongrange High School, and wishes it every success for the future.
