Clydesider Awarded Funding of £9,905 from the National Lottery Heritage Fund

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Clydesider Creative Ltd on being awarded a grant of £9,905 from the National Lottery Heritage Fund; understands that Clydesider is a community media social enterprise based in West Dunbartonshire, which creates opportunities for individuals and organisations to share positive stories and solutions, in print and in person; notes that it is the proud publisher of Clydesider Magazine, a free, quarterly publication that is produced predominantly by local volunteers, focusing on inspirational stories and showcasing the creative skills and talents that exist within the community; acknowledges that the group will use the funding to create a further 40 heritage-themed films, as part of their Take a Minute series, deliver three guided walks in Alexandria, Dumbarton and Clydebank, to discover and learn about local heritage sites, and publish an article in an issue of Clydesider to share news of the initiative and encourage further participation in the area’s heritage; recognises the hard work of all involved with Clydesider, and looks forward to seeing the success of their upcoming projects.
