Local Projects Benefit from ASDA Foundation Green Token Giving

The motion

That the Parliament recognises the work of four local groups in Falkirk East celebrated by the ASDA foundation, which is a charity that provides grants for good causes in Scotland that are nominated by the local community; understands that the ASDA foundation wishes to give back to the community, investing over £800,000 in community projects across the UK so far, making a significant difference to wider society; further understands that the Green Token Giving program allows customers to vote for a project that matters most to them; notes that in ASDA Grangemouth, the Scott Martin Foundation won the community vote, and was awarded £500 and that the runners-up, Friends of Inchyra and Bowhouse community, received a £400 award; further notes that, in ASDA Stenhousemuir, the Big Bad Wolf Children’s Theatre won its community vote, and was awarded £500, and that the runners-up, the Larbert preschool playgroup association, was awarded £400; understands that each project was delighted with its reward and plans to use the money to better its community; congratulates the ASDA Foundation for giving back to the local community and the four community groups on securing the funding, and wishes the groups well in their projects.
