Firefighters Car Wash

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the firefighters from Motherwell Fire Station on their charity car wash to raise funds in aid of St Andrew’s Hospice and the Fire Fighters Charity; notes that the hospice provides specialist palliative care to people living with life-limiting illnesses, and that its mission to provide support not only to patients, but also to their loved ones and carers, is central to its ethos; further notes that the Fire Fighters Charity provides support to the UK fire service community, including supporting bereaved families and empowering individuals to live a healthier and happier life; understands that an outstanding £71,462 was raised in March 2023, through their previous country-wide carwash event; thanks the firefighters across the country for their commitment to the community, and wishes the Fire Fighters Charity and St Andrew’s Hospice, all the best for the future.
