Step-free Access to Rail Stations in Scotland

That the Parliament acknowledges that there are still train stations in Scotland without step-free access, including Cathcart train station in Glasgow; believes that, in 2023, it is unacceptable that parts of the rail network are inaccessible to wheelchair users, people with prams and people with reduced mobility; considers that this creates barriers for people across the Glasgow region, and the country, to get to work, go to the shops, meet up with friends and family, and explore parts of Scotland; believes in the social model of disability, and encourages MSPs to look at the accessibility of train stations in their constituencies and regions and how barriers can be tackled.
