Prestwick Nurse Receives NHS Ayrshire Achieves Award

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Prestwick’s John Somerville, Lead Nurse in occupational health for NHS Ayrshire and Arran, on being awarded the Caring for Each Other award at the NHS Ayrshire Achieves 2023 Awards; notes that the awards took place on 1 June 2023 at University Hospital Ayr and that they are a staff recognition scheme, which applauds excellence and innovation, demonstrates continuous improvement in the quality of care and celebrates exceptional achievements during the year; understands that John was nominated for the award by a fellow colleague, who wanted to show their appreciation of the support John gave them following a period of sick leave; salutes the role of the NHS workforce and recognises John for his hard work and commitment to his role, and wishes him continued success in his career ahead.
