Lanarkshire Teen Takes Home the Gold Medal

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Lanarkshire teen, Hollie Waddell, on winning gold at the International Taekwon-Do Federation (ITF) European Championships in Romania; understands that, in 2015, Hollie was a medal bearer and now, eight years on, has triumphed again; notes that Hollie defeated her Dutch opponent in the Junior Girls 14-17 years 65kg category, and emphasises what it sees as the importance of encouraging young girls to become involved in sports and the importance that sports have on mental and physical health and wellbeing.
