Best Scottish Beaches Named at Scotland Beach Awards

That the Parliament celebrates the beaches named best in Scotland at Scotland'sBeach Awards 2023; understands that Scotland's Beach Awards are the benchmark forrecognising well-managed and sustainable beaches; notes that the winningbeaches stretch all across Scotland, from Shetland to the Scottish Borders,with a total of 52 award-winning beaches; further notes that, in order toachieve a Scotland’s Beach Award, a range of criteria must be taken intoconsideration, including beach safety, access, facilities, and cleanliness;understands that the award is designed to complement the work undertaken bySEPA on bathing water quality; recognises that Fife retains the title as theregion with the most awards, with 14 winning beaches, and acknowledges what itsees as the importance of improving and maintaining the high standards of allScottish beaches.
