Hatton-based Bakery, Murdoch Allan, Secures Supermarket Success

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Murdoch Allan on being appointed as the new bread roll supplier for supermarket chain, Aldi; understands that the bakery has entered a contract with Aldi, enabling it to offer its wholemeal and Scottish morning rolls to customers across its 104 Scottish stores; further understands that Murdoch Allan will be supplying over 30,000 units throughout Scotland on a weekly basis; notes that Murdoch Allan has been successfully operating for over three decades, with managing director, Paul Allan, the founder's son, leading the company's growth; further notes that the bakery employs 150 individuals in Fraserburgh, Turriff, Hatton, Peterhead, Mintlaw and Aberdeen, and wishes the bakery continued success with its product lines.
