Men's Health Week 2023

The motion

That the Parliament notes that Men’s Health Week, held from 12 to 18 June 2023 by the Men’s Health Forum, is an annual observance during the week leading up to Father’s Day that aims to raise awareness about the health challenges faced by men and promote strategies for better physical and mental wellbeing; acknowledges that what it sees as this significant event encourages men of all ages to prioritise their health, seek preventive care, and engage in conversations about important health issues; notes that the event shines a spotlight on the unique health concerns impacting men, serving as a reminder of the importance of addressing and managing health issues proactively, and considers that Men’s Health Week also encourages men to take charge of their wellbeing, make informed decisions about their lifestyle choices, as well as seeking appropriate medical support when needed.
