30th Anniversary of the ACE Winches Scottish Traditional Boat Festival in Portsoy

The motion

That the Parliament recognises the 30th anniversary of the ACE Winches Scottish Traditional Boat Festival in Portsoy, which returns on 1-2 July 2023; notes that a flotilla of heritage boats from across the country will drop anchor in the historic harbour of Portsoy for a weekend of celebrations; applauds the festival for upholding the north east's maritime heritage with a packed programme of entertainment, including music and dance, the finest Scottish food and drink and demonstrations of age-old crafts, and thanks the organisers, volunteers, participants and local communities without whom the annual event would not be the internationally renowned success that it has come to be.
