YMCA Aberdeen
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the £3,519 grant awarded to YMCA Aberdeen by the National Lottery Community Fund; understands that the funding will support YMCA Aberdeen to provide a drop-in cafe for vulnerable people in the local community and will also provide a warm space that offers free drinks and hot food; notes that the cafe is envisioned to be a safe, warm place for young people to meet in the community, to keep warm, and get support during the colder months; congratulates YMCA Aberdeen on securing this funding, and commends all involved on the wide range of work undertaken to support communities across Aberdeen since its foundation in 1958.
