Advocacy Service Aberdeen
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the awarding of a £47,144 grant to Advocacy Service Aberdeen from the National Lottery Community Fund; notes that Advocacy Service Aberdeen has provided an independent advocacy service for people in the city of Aberdeen since its foundation in 1996; understands that this grant allows Advocacy Service Aberdeen to continue to employ an Independent Advocacy Worker to support victims of domestic abuse, to support individuals who are at high risk through the multi-agency risk assessment process, and to provide guidance more widely as people seek to rebuild their lives free from abuse and violence, and commends Advocacy Service Aberdeen on securing this funding and on their ongoing work.
