Clydebank Duo Raise £800 for Beatson Cancer Charity

The motion

That the Parliament applauds Kenny Arundel, 67, and Gerry Doherty, 72, from Old Kilpatrick, Clydebank, for completing a sponsored walk around Old Kilpatrick for the Beatson Cancer Charity; understands that the duo, who have been friends for over two decades after meeting in their 40s, completed their route in just over two hours, with the help of walking aids, raising around £800 for the Beatson; further understands that both of their wives, Patsy and Laura, were diagnosed with cancer, and that the staff at the Beatson provided brilliant support to them and their families during these difficult times; commends Kenny and Gerry for their fundraising efforts, and thanks the Beatson for its hard work.
