The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Motherwell and Wishaw Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) on receiving a £41,608 grant from the National Lottery Community Grant; understands that the grant will assist CAB to try to break what it sees as the cycle of poverty by offering advice and support across the community; further understands that the aim is to provide a lifeline to those experiencing child, food, fuel or in-work poverty, and those who are at crisis point; understands that CAB advisers will work directly with clients at the place and point of need, and that this will be delivered over two years, providing support to 900 clients who are currently struggling with the cost of living crisis living in Motherwell; believes that there is a need for this support and advice across Motherwell and Wishaw, and wishes CAB all the best for the project and the future.
