North Lanarkshire Recovery Roadshow

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates North Lanarkshire Recovery Community on the success of its recent Recovery Roadshow event; understands that the team, which works tirelessly to progress addiction services, brought several organisations with the same goal, under the one roof, for a day of knowledge exchange and discussion; further understands that those who attended were treated to performances from the North Lanarkshire Recovery Band, the 4th Step, and also a powerful play highlighting the barriers that people experiencing addiction often face when making medical decisions which affect them; recognises that the organisation is raising awareness of addiction in order to promote a stigma-free Scotland; commends the forthcoming football tournament, the Recovery Cup, organised by North Lanarkshire Recovery Community and Phoenix Futures, with support from Soccer Scotland; understands that the Recovery Cup is funded by North Lanarkshire Alcohol and Drug Partnership, and thanks everyone involved in both events for their ongoing dedication to spreading hope and possibility throughout the community.
