Veterans Community (Lanarkshire) SCIO Receives National Lottery Funding to Promote Positive Lifestyle Changes

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Veterans Community (Lanarkshire) SCIO on receiving £161,032 from the National Lottery Community Fund; understands that the group will continue to operate a Veterans Community Hub and drop-in café for the military veterans community and their families in Lanarkshire; further understands that 10 volunteering opportunities will be created, with 300 veterans and their families being supported; believes that the project will reduce social isolation, empower and encourage positive changes in lifestyles for veterans who choose to attend the centre; thanks the National Lottery Fund, the staff and volunteers at the Veterans Community (Lanarkshire) SCIO for their dedication and commitment to the community, and wishes everyone all the best for the future
