Four Pillars Wins Charity of the Year at Proud Scotland Awards 2023

That the Parliament congratulates Four Pillars in Aberdeen on its recent success on winning Charity of the Year at the Proud Scotland Awards 2023; understands that Charity of the Year is an award that recognises the impact or actions taken by an organisation to support the LGBT+ community; notes that Four Pillars’ CEO, Deejay Bullock, was also recognised as one of six finalists in the community champion category, which recognises members of the LGBT+ community who has gone above and beyond for LGBT+ equality; highlights that Four Pillars’ mission is to support the LGBT+ community in manners of mental, emotional, physical and sexual health and offer support on a person-to-person basis to build a community that supports itself through peer education, thereby allowing individuals to make informed choices to improve their overall health and wellbeing across the north east of Scotland; understands that this award ceremony took place just one week after Four Pillars’ delivered the biggest Grampian Pride event to date, which saw record crowds of over 8,500 people celebrate with a parade on Union Street and at the pride village in Duthie park; considers the support provided by the Four Pillars to be invaluable to many across the north east; believes that achieving such an award is a remarkable achievement, and wishes all involved a happy Pride month and continued success in the future.
