Bo'ness Children's Fair Festival 2023

The motion

That the Parliament celebrates the Bo’ness Children’s Fair Festival 2023; understands that the festival originally began in the latter part of the 18th century as a yearly celebration for the town's miners and, in 1897, the year of Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee, incorporated local children and elected the first Fair Queen; notes that Bo’ness Children’s Fair Festival will be held on 30 June 2023 with a full day of activities planned for the community; celebrates what it sees as an important event to the Bo’ness community, which encourages community involvement; congratulates all those in the retinue for Bo’ness Children’s Fair Festival 2023, and wishes all the children and organisers well for the day.
