Lanarkshire Boxer, Ryan, Donates to Cancer Charity

The motion

That the Parliament commends Motherwell boxer, Ryan Carlin, for donating £500 from every fight in which he takes part to support cancer patients across the west of Scotland; understands that Ryan, who is only 21 years old, is supporting the Beatson Cancer Charity through his boxing to thank the charity for the care that his family member has received at the Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre; further understands that Ryan has been working with his coach, Dominic Vaughan, for the past two years, transitioning from amateur ranks to professional, and wishes Ryan all the very best for his next professional fight on 8 June 2023 in Glasgow.
