Awarding Wigtownshire Honours Local Heroes

The motion

That the Parliament applauds all those nominated for the 2023 Awarding Wigtownshire ceremony, hosted at the North West Castle, in Stranraer, on 10 June 2023; offers sincere congratulations to the various award finalists and subsequent winners; notes that the event is now in its second year; recognises the outstanding and exceptional achievements of individuals, businesses, community groups, charities and everyone in between who, it considers, make Wigtownshire amazing; considers that the nominations exemplify the talent, dedication and innovation of people from all aspects of life, and praises the organisers, Stranraer Community Events Group, for staging this true celebration of the kindness and community spirit in Wigtownshire.
