Wallacestone Primary Schools Wins National Final of the Scottish Primary Schools Glee Challenge 2023

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates students from Wallacestone Primary School, in the Falkirk East constituency, on winning the final of the Scottish Primary Schools Glee Challenge 2023; notes that the final of the competition was held at the Caird Hall, Dundee, on 18 June 2023; recognises that the journey to the final was the result of eight months of hard work and dedication from the pupils, staff, and parents and carers who supported them; notes that 10 excellent primary school choirs were competing for the top spot, with pupils from Wallacestone primary securing their victory with a fantastic performance against stiff competition; understands that this contest is organised by the Frisson Foundation, an organisation with an ethos focused on offering inclusive opportunities to young people from all backgrounds; recognises that the aim of the Frisson Foundation is to increase the confidence of young people by allowing them to realise their potential through music, while improving their emotional, physical and mental wellbeing; again congratulates the stellar performers from Wallacestone Primary School on their success at the national final of the Scottish Primary School Glee Challenge 2023, and wishes them, and all the other participants, all the very best for the future.
