Zetland Park Overall Winner at Royal Town Planning Institute Scotland Awards 2023

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates all those involved with the regeneration of Zetland Park in Grangemouth on their award at the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) Scotland Awards 2023; notes that the awards took place on 15 June 2023 in Glasgow; understands that the RTPI Awards celebrate plans, projects and people from across Scotland, and awarded the Zetland Park Project the coveted Overall Winner title; recognises that the project was highlighted as an example of community-driven, local authority-enabled park regeneration; notes that the Zetland Park Project aimed to revitalise the pride of the Portonian community, surpassing the original proposals and delivering a regeneration initiative worth £2.3 million; understands that the Zetland Regeneration Project was a collaborative effort between an alliance of partners, including Falkirk Council and community groups; congratulates once again all those involved in the regeneration of the park for their RTPI Scotland award, and wishes them well for the future.
