Isaac Taylor, Edinburgh's Inspiring Volunteer of the Year

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Isaac Taylor on being awarded the City of Edinburgh Lord Provost’s Inspiring Volunteer of the Year award at the Inspiring Volunteer Awards ceremony, held at the City Chambers on 7 June 2023; understands that Isaac is a support for learning helper at Currie Community High School in Edinburgh, and has achieved a 100% attendance record in S5 and S6; recognises that Isaac’s voluntary support to the staff and other students at the school has made an amazing impact for all involved, but more importantly, it has made a huge impact to Isaac; commends Isaac on being reported as having “a real fantastic way of working and interacting with younger pupils and supporting them”; notes that, now in its 17th year, Edinburgh’s Inspiring Volunteer Awards reflect the exceptional range of organisations and individuals working in the city’s vibrant charity and non-profit sectors, and wishes Isaac all the best and success for the future.
