Gavin’s Mill in Milngavie Wins Hidden Gem Award at the Scotsman’s Scran Awards

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Gavin's Mill, in Milngavie, on winning the Hidden Gem Award at The Scotsman Scran Awards; understands that Gavin’s Mill is a historic old mill, beside Allander Water, housing a shop that sells Fair Trade, zero-waste and ethically-sourced products, and a cosy café providing freshly prepared, vegetarian food with vegan and gluten-free options, prepared by volunteers; notes that the awards ceremony took place on 19 June 2023 and celebrated the individuals, establishments and products that make the Scottish food and drink sector what it is, with members of the public voting for their favourite places; applauds the staff and volunteers at Gavin’s Mill for their hard work, and congratulates them for this achievement.
