Net Zero Hospitality Initiative
The motion
That the Parliament commends Lisini Pub Company, which has committed to lowering its carbon footprint, by signing up to the Net Zero Hospitality Initiative; understands that the Lisini Pub Company has set up "green teams", one being in Dalziel Park, Motherwell, where each venue will compete against each other to reduce their carbon footprint; further understands that the company has already reduced emissions by 47.7 tonnes last year by switching to low power and sensor lights, cutting down on food waste and reducing meat on its menus, but that it is aiming for 300 tonnes per year; notes that the initiative was developed by climate action platform, Net Zero Now, and supported by Coca-Cola Europacific Partners and Pernod Ricard UK, and wishes all the businesses participating in the Net Zero Hospitality Initiative all the best for the future.
