National Lottery Funds Glespin Community Group SCIO

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Glespin Community Group SCIO on its award of £4,744 from the National Lottery Awards for All Scotland; understands that the grant will fund fuel costs for the local community hall; further understands that the grant will help support the organisation with cost of living challenges and support an important community space in the rural village of Glespin; congratulates Glespin Community Group SCIO on a second award of £9,770; notes that the award of £9,770 will be used to fund a wide range of community activities, events and workshops for all members of the community, providing social and educational opportunities, and bringing people together in Glespin; acknowledges what it sees as the unique challenges that rural villages face, and commends Glespin Community Group SCIO on its hard work to provide a safe and warm community space for Glespin.
