Climate Action Strathaven Receives £48,164 from National Lottery

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Climate Action Strathaven on its award of £48,164 from the Medium Grants Scotland: Improving Lives programme by the National Lottery; understands that the grant will be used to deliver training on retrofitting, enabling people to identify and correctly fit energy saving measures, such as draught-proofing and loft insulation; further understands that homes under this project will be surveyed using specialist equipment to identify areas that will benefit from improvements; notes that the project will be delivered over three years, and will work with 200 residents of Strathaven and up to 80 volunteers; commends Climate Action Strathaven on its commitment to reducing carbon emissions, and wishes it well as the project progresses.
