Saving Wishaw's St Andrew's Hospice Charity Shop
The motion
That the Parliament commends Mears, Richardson & Starling and McGarry Flooring for coming together to save the Wishaw St Andrew’s Hospice charity shop; understands that the building had wet rot, resulting in it being an unsafe environment for staff, volunteers and customers to fundraise for the hospice; further understands that the three companies renewed all the joists, wall plates and floorboards, and fitted new carpets; notes that the hospice provides specialist palliative care to people living with life-limiting illnesses, and that its mission to provide support not only for patients, but also for their loved ones and carers, is central to its ethos; thanks Mears, Richardson & Starling and McGarry Flooring, and wishes them, and St Andrew’s Hospice, all the best for the future.
