Burntisland and District Pipe Band Wins Grade 4A European Pipe Band Championship Trophy

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Burntisland and District Pipe Band on winning the grade 4A European Pipe Band Championship trophy in Aberdeen on 24 June 2023; recognises that this victory is especially touching, as the last time the trophy was in Burntisland and District Pipe Band’s hall was in 1990, under the leadership of Pipe Major Robin Brown, who sadly passed away recently; considers that Pipe Major Brown’s memory lives on in his teachings to a new generation of young pipers and drummers from across the world; commends Burntisland and District Pipe Band for bringing the trophy back to Burntisland, and wishes it all the best for the future.
