13 Police Scotland Youth Volunteers (PSYV) Embark on a Leadership and Development Course in New Zealand

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the 13 Police Scotland Youth Volunteers (PSYV) who are about to embark on a leadership and development course in New Zealand; understands that these young people represent every local policing division in Scotland, and were selected by their divisions due to their commitment to PSYV, by volunteering in their communities to make them safer; passes on its thanks to all the adults and young people for their ongoing commitment by volunteering their time to their communities through PSYV; supports Police Scotland's commitment to PSYV and its continued success; believes that the PSYV programme is an essential part of building stronger diverse communities and reducing crime; recognises that the programme provides young people with the opportunity to learn new skills, develop their leadership abilities and make a positive difference in their communities, and passes on its best wishes to the 13 young people for their trip to New Zealand, and for future success.
