Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity Wins People’s Choice Award
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity on winning the People’s Choice award at the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations (SCVO) 2023 Scottish Charity Awards; notes the success of the charity’s Jack’s Wee Snowman with the Big Heart campaign, which aimed to raise funds for a six-year-old child with heart failure who has been on the waiting list for a heart transplant since August 2020; further notes that funds were raised through the sale of Christmas baubles specially designed by him; welcomes the ongoing success of SCVO’s annual Scottish Charity Awards; celebrates the achievements of all 32 finalists in this year’s awards, and notes the important role that the event plays in highlighting the incredible efforts of organisations and individuals across Scotland’s voluntary sector.
