Skye and Lochalsh Mental Health Association Celebrates 30 Years

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Skye and Lochalsh Mental Health Association (SLMHA) on its 30th anniversary; acknowledges that SLMHA has been providing vital support and services to individuals and families in the Skye and Lochalsh area who are affected by mental health issues since its establishment in 1993; recognises that SLMHA plays a crucial role in raising awareness of mental health and reducing stigma within the local and rural community; acknowledges the tireless efforts of SLMHA's dedicated team of staff and volunteers in providing a range of services, including counselling and support groups to enhance the mental wellbeing of individuals of all ages; commends SLMHA's significant contributions to the improvement of mental health outcomes in rural Scotland over the last three decades; extends its warmest wishes to SLMHA on this special milestone, and encourages continued collaboration and innovation in addressing mental health challenges in Skye and Lochalsh.
