Kirkintilloch Nurse Wins Royal College of Nursing Scotland Award

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Kirkintilloch-based district nurse, Michelle Dalgarno, on winning the Royal College of Nursing (RCN) Scotland Clinical Leadership Award; understands that Michelle has been recognised for her commitment to research and evidence, supporting transformation in her team and across the wider health and care locality team within East Dunbartonshire Health and Social Care Partnership; appreciates her role in providing assessor and supervisor roles for district nurses (DNs) and student DNs; acknowledges that she has implemented a multi-disciplinary team (MDT) approach to increasing awareness around frailty, establishing and facilitating weekly MDT meetings; understands that her work has also had a significant impact in reducing GPs referrals, and wishes her every success for the future.
