Balmoral Residents Receive Sir William Young Award

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Dochy Ormiston and Sylvia Ormiston on their achievement of receiving the 2023 Sir William Young Award from the Royal Highland and Agricultural Society of Scotland; understands that the Sir William Young Award is presented annually for an exceptional contribution to the world of livestock breeding; further understands that Dochy and Sylvia have overseen the Balmoral Highland Cattle Fold and Highland Pony Stud since 2007; notes that the award was presented by the daughter of the late Queen Elizabeth II, HRH Princess Anne, who, it considers, is a dedicated patron of equine charities across the country; recognises Dochy and Sylvia for their achievement, and wishes them every success for the future.
