Congratulating Fiona Bruce on Winning the People's Choice Award

The motion

That the Parliament commends and congratulates Fiona Bruce, an NHS Lothian paediatric haematology/oncology advanced nurse practitioner, on being honoured with the People’s Choice Award; recognises Fiona's exceptional dedication and commitment to providing care for children with cancer both at home and in Ghana; acknowledges her tireless efforts in supporting young cancer patients and contributing to the establishment of a leading children’s unit in Ghana; applauds Fiona for her collaboration with the Edinburgh oncologist, Dr Emma Johnson, and their nursing colleagues in assisting Ghanaian child cancer medics in setting up a remarkable children's unit in Africa; commends their efforts in establishing a global link of child oncology medics, who work together to enhance care for children with cancer, and encourages continued support for initiatives that improve paediatric cancer care, both within Scotland and internationally.
