Mary’s Meals Awarded Spanish Princess of Asturias Award for Concord

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Mary’s Meals on being awarded the Spanish Princess of Asturias Award for Concord for its "exemplary dedication to alleviating some of the most pressing problems in today’s world"; understands that the charity was commended for its low-cost model, which means that it reaches 2.4 million children every day with a nutritious meal at school across 18 countries; notes that the Dalmally-based charity’s founder, Magnus MacFarlane-Barrow, accepted the award on behalf of all of the volunteers who work with Mary’s Meals all over the world, and understands that the award will be presented at a ceremony at Teatro Campoamor in Oviedo, Spain, in October 2023.
